The Sport Law & Strategy Group – August 3, 2017 – The Sport Law & Strategy Group (SLSG) is proud to partner with iS4 soccer legends, to host its next webinar on August 30 from 11:45 AM until 1:00 PM EST, titled Unstoppable: Turning failure into Olympic medals. The webinar is another way for the SLSG to showcase its support of iS4, a company launched in 2016 by former and current Canadian National Soccer team athletes Christine Sinclair, Diana Matheson, Rhian Wilkinson and Karina LeBlanc that has a mission to empower Canadians, from its youth to its boardrooms, to dream big and strive high.

The SLSG has been providing legal, financial, strategic, communications and mentoring support to iS4 for nearly two years with the upcoming webinar being an additional method to help the company gain visibility. “We believe in what iS4 stands for and feel that these talented and inspirational Canadians reflect the values of professionalism, continuous learning and passion … values that we stand for at the SLSG,” shared SLSG Partner Dina Bell-Laroche. “We like to think of ourselves as a company that cares,” added SLSG Partner Steve Indig. “We hope that our clients get something meaningful out of this webinar and walk away inspired to think differently about failure and challenges.”

The four members of the iS4 team will be on hand to speak specifically about the lessons they learned during both their darkest moments and their unparalled back to back bronze medal wins at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. “We feel strongly that Canadian leaders need to hear not only about our high points but also the hardships we encountered along the way; the lessons that taught us to be more resilient and adaptable,” shared Sinclair. “It’s a message that I and iS4 believe can be useful to everyone from CEOs, High Performance Directors, Coaches, other athletes, and all Canadians striving for more from themselves.”

The SL&SG has successfully hosted its “Advancing your Game Webinar Series” since 2015 with topics including Legal Compliance, Integral Coaching, Risk Management, Athlete Selection, Human Resources and Sponsorship. This webinar is the first time the SLSG has offered up its webinar series to an external group and are hoping that clients will enjoy this refreshing new addition to its webinar offerings.
