Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance – Since the City-to-City session at Sportaccord in Lausanne in April, the International Association of Event Hosts (IAEH) has achieved several major milestones. The website is now live at www.eventhosts.org and can provide more background details of this new entity, which supports cities, regions and countries hosting major sporting and cultural events. It already has members from Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland and the USA.

One of the goals of IAEH is to share knowledge, experience, and best practices. The website features a number of downloadable reports of major events as reference documents. It also strives to be a collective voice of its members and represent their views on strategic international bidding and hosting issues.

“Our CSTA members have the unique opportunity to join this organization with an initial complimentary membership,” said Rick Traer, CEO of the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA) and member of the Governing Board of the IAEH. “A decision on future membership fees will be made next April when the members meet at the 2017 SportAccord Convention in Aarhus, Denmark. I would encourage any of our interested CSTA members to take advantage of belonging to this knowledgeable group of international leaders.”

IAEH members are profiled on the organization’s website, and a full list of membership benefits is also outlined in more detail.
