Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association – The 2018 CCAA Men’s Soccer National Championship will be held in Charlottetown, PE, at Holland College.

Holland’s bid was approved today in Abbotsford, BC, at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association annual general meeting.

The Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) institution will host the event Nov. 7-10, 2018. Eight teams from across the country will compete in 14 games over four days for the National crown.

“Holland College has earned the reputation for hosting excellent CCAA National Championships,” said David Munro, CCAA Men’s Soccer Convenor. “The Holland team has developed a successful formula and they’ve succeeded in creating memorable and unique experiences for our student-athletes.”

When it comes to hosting CCAA Nationals, no other institution in the country has been quite as active as the Holland Hurricanes in recent years. In addition to several ACAA events, Holland recently hosted CCAA National Championships in Men’s Volleyball (2015), Women’s Volleyball (2016), Golf (2016) and Men’s Basketball (2017).

The Hurricanes also hosted the 2012 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship.

On the pitch, Holland has captured gold at the last three consecutive ACAA Men’s Soccer Championships. The Hurricanes, who took home CCAA silver in 2011, have represented their conference at six of the last eight CCAA National Championships.
