Halle Pratt to represent Canada in solo 2016 FINA Junior World Championships
Synchro Canada – Ottawa, July 6, 2016 — Halle Pratt, from Calgary, has been selected as the solo entry for this year’s FINA World Junior Championships that are scheduled to begin on July 9 in Kazan, Russia. The 4-time national solo champion will unveil her reworked Medusa-themed routine on July 10 in the event’s preliminary round at the Kazan Aquatics Palace.
“We can’t wait to present Halle’s routine,” stated Associate Head Coach Jennifer Tregale. “She has a rare combination of world-class extension, execution and height mixed with an amazing presence as a soloist and I have no doubts that she will be turning heads this week.”
“We are very excited to have Halle swim her solo at Junior Worlds,” added Synchro Canada Domestic Technical Director, Jadine Cleary. “She’s shown steady improvement over the years as she evolved into a powerful and graceful soloist. She also has tremendous international solo experience, having competed twice at the Mediterranean Cup and won gold at the UANA Pan Am Championships last year in Calgary.”
The solo preliminary round will begin at 10am on July 10 (3am EDT, 1am MDT).
Schedules, start lists and results from the competition will be posted on the Synchro Canada website as they become available.
