Halifax to host Cross-Canada PARALYMPIAN SEARCH
Sport Nova Scotia – Paralympic athlete identification event to discover the next generation of Canadian Paralympic athletes
The search continues for the next generation of #PARATOUGH athletes ready for the athletic opportunity of a lifetime – the chance to discover a new sport and spark the dream of competing for Canada.
This one-day event offers the chance to test their abilities and discover which Paralympic sports they are best suited for.
Participants will have the chance to meet Pamela LeJean, who has emerged as one of Canada’s top throwers in para-athletics in recent years. Pam won three medals at the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games, and a silver medal at the 2015 IPC World Championships.
WHEN: Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: Canada Games Centre, 26 Thomas Raddall Drive, Halifax, NS
WHO: open to everyone with a disability or visual impairment aged 14-35
