Freestyle Canada – Tignes, France, March 5, 2017 – This week, Freestyle Canada’s half-pipe athletes travel to Tignes, France for the last FIS World Cup of the season. This is their last chance to perfect their runs and prepare for the upcoming FIS World Championships in Sierra Nevada, Spain.

The Canadians narrowly missed the podium at the Olympic test event in Bokwang, Korea. They’re now on the hunt, looking to bounce back and finish the World Cup season on a high. The team has an incredible depth of talent, and is more than capable of finding the podium at any given World Cup. They will look to Olympic veterans Noah Bowman, Keltie Hansen and Roz Groenewoud to lead the charge on French soil.

Olympic qualification process
The World Cup stop in Tignes is particularly important for half-pipe athletes. The event is one of four competitions that grant a limited number of athletes a provisional spot to the COC, the three others being the Aspen X Games, the Bokwang World Cup and the World Championships in Sierra Nevada in March.
