Gymnastics Canada  – OTTAWA, ON (June 14, 2016) – Gymnastics Canada is pleased to announce the athletes invited to attend the final selection camp for the women’s artistic gymnastics team that will represent Canada at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio this August.

“There were a lot of excellent performances at the Canadian Championships in Edmonton, which made the job of selecting these athletes much easier for our working group,” said Dave Brubaker, national team director for women’s artistic gymnastics at Gymnastics Canada. “The pool of athletes to choose from for our Olympic team is deeper than it has ever been, and I’m confident that we will be sending an exceptionally strong team to Rio.”

Five athletes will be chosen to represent Canada in Rio. The announcement of these athletes, as well as the athlete from men’s artistic gymnastics, will be made on June 30th at the Gatineau Sports Centre as part of the final team announcement with the Canadian Olympic Committee.
