BC Rugby – Vancouver, BC – January 5, 2017: Gilbert Rugby Canada has signed a new multi-year partnership with British Columbia Rugby Union. After a year of separation BC Rugby and Gilbert have set a product and promotional path to assist in elevating the growing position of rugby in British Columbia. Gilbert established themselves by creating the sport in 1823 while the BC Rugby Union was formed in 1889 and has grown to over 7500 registered players in the province and is one of the most active playing and promoting populations in Canada. The renewed agreement covers marketing and promotional initiatives, growing the game development, official product usage and collaborative communication and outreach to the playing and general public.
