Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association – (Ottawa, ON – June 6th) – The Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association congratulates the four Ontario athletes who were nominated to compete in wheelchair rugby at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games today.

“The team is comprised of an interesting mix of experienced veterans and athletes who will be competing in their first Paralympic Games,” said CWSA CEO Cathy Cadieux. “Canada is currently the #1 ranked team in the world and we fully intend to stay there. The team we announce today has one goal: to win a gold medal at the 2016 Paralympic Games.”

The Ontario athletes chosen reflect this mix of experience. David Willsie (Dorchester, ON) is a multiple Paralympic medalist who will be attending his fifth Paralympic Games, while Cody Caldwell (Peterborough, ON) will compete in his first Paralympics.

The selected Ontario athletes are:
