Manitoba Fencing Association – Friday was the last day of competition at the Pan Am Fencing Championships in Cancun, Mexico with several athletes from Manitoba representing Canada in different weapons and with more than 23 countries competing.     

Following is a summary of the exciting results from Manitobans at the Junior/Cadet Pan Am Fencing Championships last week:

• Sarah  Filby -Junior Foil: Bronze Individual, Bronze Team
• Cameron Mackay -Junior Sabre: 5th Place Individual, Silver Team
• Misha Sweet -Junior Foil: 13th Place Individual, Silver Team
• Eric Vasas -Cadet Sabre: 10th Individual
