| League1 Ontario Men’s playoff spots still up for grabs |

Everything is still in the balance coming down to the final matchweek of the 2018 League1 Ontario men’s division.
Sigma FC and FC London are the two teams with first place still within their grasp heading into their sixteenth and final match of the season while four teams – Alliance, Unionville, Darby and Sanjaxx – could still qualify for or slide out of the playoff zone.

The Player Development department puts together practices for coaches to use with their players across the province.
Each week focuses on one of the three LTPD development stages at the Grassroots level, which includes Active Start, Fundamentals and Learn to Train.
In this week’s session, the Player Development department has focused on Fundamentals.

The Provincial Indoor Soccer League is currently accepting team applications for its 2018-2019 season.
The league is open to Ontario Soccer club teams and OASL academies for U14-U18 boys and girls teams.

Ontario Soccer is continuously looking for experienced and passionate technical leaders with progressive approaches who can help shape the new Player and Coach Development pathway and is now asking for applications for Learning Facilitators (LFs) for 2018-2019.
Ontario Soccer’s LF holds a tremendously important role in implementing the delivery of the current Long Term Player Development (LTPD) pathway.

Seven teams have been crowned Ontario Cup champions, with six of those now moving on to the Toyota National Championships.
The provincial soccer for life championships concluded for a number of divisions in Vaughan this past weekend, with thrilling action taking place across the board.

Canada will play their first home match in 2018-2019 CONCACAF Nations League qualifying on Oct. 16 at BMO Field.

| Over 20,000 soccer leaders now certified in Activity Leader program |

Ontario Soccer is continuing to show that the safety of their athletes and participants are a priority to the community.
This week, Respect in Sport revealed that Ontario Soccer has surpassed 20,000 certifications in the Respect in Sport Activity Leader program.
This is in addition to the 10,000 parents who have already been certified in the Respect in Sport Parent Program.
