Montreal (QC) – January 28, 2016 – The following is the schedule for the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group II tie between Canada and Belarus being held in Quebec City on February 6 and 7, 2016 ***THIS SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. Please confirm with Tennis Canada’s communications department before covering an event. Please note that all times are listed in local (EST) time. All matches, practices and the pre-draw press conferences will be held at PEPS on the campus of Laval University. The official draw ceremony wil be held at the Hilton Quebec Hotel on Friday February 5.
Tuesday, February 2
9:30 a.m. Team Belarus’ first practice
11:30 a.m. Team Canada’s first practice
1:30 p.m. Canadian captain Sylvain Bruneau and two players (TBD) will be available
to the media.
1:30 p.m. Team Belarus practice
4 p.m. Team Canada practice
Wednesday, February 3
Pre-draw press conferences (salon des dignitaires)
10:45 a.m. Introductions and media availability of Belarus’ players and captain
11:45 a.m. Introductions and media availability of Canada’s players and captain
9:30 a.m. Team Canada practice
11:30 a.m. Team Belarus Republic practice
1:30 p.m. Team Canada practice

Thursday, February 4

7 p.m. Official Fed Cup by BNP Paribas dinner (Hilton Quebec Hotel)
*Only photographers and cameramen are invited to take footage of the players arriving.
Friday, February 5
Official Draw press conference (Hilton Quebec Hotel)
12 p.m. Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Official Draw
The draw will determine the match ups for the weekend
Players and captains will be on site and available for questions
*Lunch will be served
Saturday, February 6
12 p.m. First singles match
Followed by (after a 20 minute break) Second singles match
Both matches will be followed by press conferences with the players
Sunday, February 7
12 p.m. First singles match
Followed by (after a 20 minute break) Second singles match
Followed by (after a 30 minute break) Doubles match
All matches will be followed by press conferences with the players
Notes :
- If the tie is decided after the first three matches (3-0), there will be no fourth singles match and the doubles match will be played instead using the best-of-three format with no advantage and a third set super tiebreaker (first to 10 points).
- If the tie is decided after the first four matches (3-1), the doubles match will be played using the best-of-three format with no advantage and a third set super tiebreak (first to 10 points)
