For the first time, dodgeball will be an event at the Tafisa Sport for All Games.

EDMONTON, AB – FEBRUARY 24, 2020 – The World Dodgeball Federation is proud to announce that dodgeball will be making its first-ever appearance in the TAFISA World Sport for All Games in 2020. The 7th Games will take place in Lisbon, Portugal from 1-7 October, 2020.

The TAFISA Games is a week-long spectacular display of colour, dance, sports, culture, peace, friendship and fun, and typically attracts up to 50,000 participants and visitors from up to 100 countries.

“We’re excited to bring the fast-growing sport of dodgeball to the TAFISA Games” says Duane Wysynski, President of the WDBF. “The values of the WDBF and TAFISA are very similar, especially with respect to inclusion in sport. This partnership will help in the continued growth of dodgeball and will allow the WDBF to benefit from the vast experience of TAFISA and its members.”

TAFISA has 370 member organizations in more than 170 countries on all continents. They actively cooperate with other global change-makers, including the UN, WHO, UNESCO, the IOC, ICSSPE and others, in their mission to achieve an Active World.

The World Dodgeball Federation is the leading worldwide authority for the sport of Dodgball. The federation governs over 60 member nations, promotes the expansion of the sport worldwide, and organizes major competitions like the WDBF World Dodgeball Championships on an annual basis.
