Equestrian Canada – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has extended the deadline for equestrian stakeholders to provide feedback on the proposed Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) Disease Control Program to June 30, 2018.

To support the equestrian community in voicing their feedback and help address any questions or necessary clarifications on the CFIA’s proposal, Equestrian Canada (EC) will be hosting an open call with Dr. Carolyn James of the CFIA on June 22, 2018 at 12 p.m. EDT.

Submit Feedback to CFIA & EC

EC encourages individuals and organizations to join the call, then compile and submit their comments to the CFIA by June 30, 2018.

In addition to submitting comments directly to the CFIA, EC strongly recommends that equine organizations submit a letter to EC containing their comments to the CFIA. EC will ensure all letters are provided to the CFIA, and are also summarized in a consensus statement within the appendix of EC’s official response to the CFIA.
