CanoeKayak Canada – Canoe Kayak Canada is putting together a number of Coach Developer training workshops in conjunction with the CKC Summit next month. All workshops will be classroom based and will cost $60 each.

1. December 4 (8:30-20:30) – Coaching Association of Canada Core Training for Learning Facilitators and Evaluators
   This is mandatory training that all coach developers must attend in order to become certified coach developers.

 

2. December 5 (9:30-16:30) – CKC Whitewater Content Training for Learning Facilitators and Evaluators

All Learning Facilitators and Evaluators are invited to attend
 

3. December 4 or 5 (TBD) – CKC Content Training for Evaluators

Evaluation training for ELCC or Competition Development
 

4. December 5 (9:30-16:30) – ELCC Advanced Gradation Learning Facilitators Training

 
Core Training for Learning Facilitators is a 6-hour workshop that all Learning Facilitator candidates must take. The workshop introduces Learning Facilitator candidates to the goals and philosophy of the NCCP, teaches them how to facilitate modules, and helps them understand the instructional design of the modules.
Modules:

• Overview of the Workshop and the NCCP
• Functions of an LF
• Elements of an Effective Learning Activity
• Stages of Group Development
• Nature of the group

 
Core Training for Coach Evaluators is a 5-hour workshop that all Coach Evaluator candidates must take. The workshop focuses on the evaluation principles and processes that Coach Evaluators need to follow when evaluating coaches.
Modules:

• Overview of the Workshop and the NCCP
• The Certification Process
• Learning to Debrief
• Action Planning

 
Provincial and Territorial sport organizations may have access to grants that will cover your registration fees.
