#ChampionChange with CAAWS on International Day of the Girl!
CAAWS – (Toronto, ON – October 11, 2018) Imagine: a sport and physical activity system that champions girls. One that supports them to be lifelong participants and leaders. One that helps them reach their full potential.
You have the power to help realize this vision, today and every day, by working towards gender equity and inclusion in sport.
In honour of International Day of the Girl, CAAWS is encouraging you to #ChampionChange for girls in sport and physical activity!
How can you #ChampionChange?
International Day of the Girl is a great opportunity for us to reflect on how we can all be more effective when it comes to including and supporting girls, whether you’re a coach, board member, administrator, official, or parent.
We’ll be posting facts and resources on social media every day for the next week to help you better understand how to help girls thrive in the sport and physical activity system. Follow CAAWS on Twitter and Facebook to join the conversation, and check out our new video to get inspired to #ChampionChange!
Show us how you #ChampionChange.
Tweet @CAAWS with the hashtag #ChampionChange to share how you are making a difference —big or small—for girls in sport and physical activity. Are you celebrating girls’ athletic achievements? Did you mentor a woman on your coaching staff? Will you host a workshop for girls to try your sport or activity?
Send us a photo, tweet or video to share your story and help inspire others!
CAAWS is grateful to Sport Canada for their support of this initiative.
CAAWS is dedicated to creating an equitable and inclusive Canadian sport and physical activity system that empowers girls and women—as active participants and leaders—within and through sport. With a focus on systemic change, we partner with governments, organizations and leaders to challenge the status quo and to advance solutions that result in measurable change.
