Freestyle Canada – Calgary, Alberta, February 28, 2017 –  The Canadian slopestyle athletes, primarily comprised of NextGen team members, swept both the men’s and women’s podium at Winsport’s Canada Olympic Park on Saturday. The Canada Cup stop, sponsored by Toyo Tires, took place under challenging conditions in Calgary, AB. Philippe Langevin, Sofia Tchernetsky, Tanner Gordon, Emma Stevens, Elena Ann Paskevich, and Matthew Wilcox all found the podium during the season’s first domestic slopestyle Nor-Am.
 
Philippe Langevin led the men as he clinched the top spot with a score of 86.41. He was joined on the podium by Canadian Group C team members Tanner Gordon and Matthew Wilcox, who finished second and third respectively.
 
On the women’s side, Sofia Tchernetsky claimed the top spot with a score of 82.83. Emma Stevens finished in second and Elena Ann Paskevich in third.
 
The Canadian slopestyle athletes will regroup for the next slopestyle Nor-Am held at Mount St. Louis Moonstone, ON.
