Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association – (Ottawa, ON – Feb. 21st) The Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association (CWSA) is pleased to welcome two new hires to its core staff; Ben Parker-Jones as Communications and Marketing Coordinator and Megan Ritcey as Administration and Special Events Coordinator.
 
“Ben and Megan are outstanding new additions to our team, as they both exemplify our Association’s long-standing commitment to teamwork, integrity and excellence,” said CWSA CEO Catherine Cadieux.
 
Parker-Jones joins the CWSA having recently completed a four-month internship at the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) as part of their Business Development department. At the CSA, he successfully managed the day-to-day execution of the Active Start Soccer Festival program, Canada’s largest grassroots soccer program. Outside of his internship, Ben has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University, with a major in marketing.
 
Ritcey joins the CWSA having obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from Queen’s University, as well as a post-graduate certificate in Sport and Event Marketing from George Brown College. Her prior work experiences in sport include working as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator for The Joga Company and as a Sports Production Assistant for the International Skating Union, during the 2015 Speed Skating World Cup.
 
Going forward, Ben Parker Jones will be responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing all communication programs that will effectively describe and promote the CWSA and Wheelchair Rugby. Megan Ritcey will be responsible for all of the CWSA’s administrative matters, in addition to organizing all upcoming special events hosted by the CWSA.
