Speed Skating Canada – Competitions will be held December 1-3 at the Olympic Oval

Calgary, November 21, 2017 – Speed Skating Canada and Calgary’s Olympic Oval are inviting media representatives to come and meet the Long Track National Team members who will represent Canada at the ISU World Cup Long Track Speed Skating stage on Friday, November 24 from 9 am to 10 am, at the Langevin School (107 – 6A Street NE) in Calgary.

The third ISU World Cup Long Track Speed Skating of the season will be held December 1-3 at the Olympic Oval.

During Friday’s event, students from the Langevin School will ask questions to Long Track National Team members, while representatives from Speed Skating Canada and the Olympic Oval will highlight what speed skating fans will see at the competition.

In this Olympic season where athletes are looking to qualify quota spots for PyeongChang and to qualify themselves, Canada has won 12 medals so far over the first two World Cups of the season held in Heerenveen, in the Netherlands, and in Stavanger, Norway.
