Canadian Sport Institute Ontario – TORONTO (January 8, 2016) – Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) is pleased to welcome the Invictus Games 2016 – Team Canada to our world-class training facility at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC) on the afternoon of Monday January 11, 2016.

Soldier On, in partnership with True Patriot Love Foundation, will be holding a training camp at CSIO ahead of the Invictus Games being held in Orlando, Florida in May 2016. The Invictus Games is an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans. The Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect of all those who serve their country.

The training camp will see 22 serving members and veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces completing physical benchmark testing delivered by CSIO staff. Following the physical testing, the servicemen and women will spend the rest of the week at TPASC training with their specific sports coaches in the areas of swim, track and field, archery, rowing, cycling, powerlifting and sitting volleyball.
