Speed Skating Canada – Toronto, June 8, 2017 – Canada’s Speed Skating elite will gather in Toronto, ON, June 8-10, 2017, for Speed Skating Canada’s Annual General Meeting.

The event, which will be held at the Sheraton Toronto Airport (801, Dixon Road, Toronto, ON), will bring together more than 75 Speed Skating Canada staff and committee members, provincial association members and athletes, including the silver medalist in the 1000m at the 2017 World Single Distance Championships and new Canadian national record holder in that distance, Vincent De Haître.

During the three-day event, Speed Skating Canada will give out its annual awards on Friday night, including those going out to the Male and Female Long Track and Short Track Speed Skaters of the Year.

Two-time Olympic medalist, including gold in the 1000m in Vancouver, Christine Nesbitt from London, ON, will also attend as she will be inducted into Speed Skating Canada’s Hall of Fame.
