Canada heads into the final qualifier carrying a total of 200 points, having won the qualifiers at the CSIO 5* Ocala in February and the CSIO 5* Coapexpan in Mexico in April. The United States is currently in second place on 165 points, and Mexico holds third with 135 points. Following the CSIO 5* BC Open, the top two teams in the league will be invited to contest the Nations’ Cup Final in Barcelona, ESP set for Oct. 4-7, 2018.

The $400,000 CSIO 5* Longines FEI Nations’ Cup™ of Canada will be available on livestream through FEI TV on June 3 at 4:50 p.m. EDT at https://tv.fei.org.

Nations’ cup classes are the only type of jumping competitions where riders compete in teams of four and face off against other countries. To determine overall team scores, the top three scores from each team are counted toward the final result of the two-round competition. Historically, the Canadian Show Jumping Team has a strong record at the Odlum Brown BC Open, having taken second in 2017 and 2016.
