Alpine Canada – After a career spanning 13 years on the Canadian Para Alpine Ski Team and pioneering sit skiing in Canada, Kimberly Joines is retiring from professional skiing. Joines’ career is a decorated one, chock-full of accomplishments that many athletes only dream of reaching. Throughout her time on the team, Joines collected 44 World Cup medals, including eight World Championship medals, two Paralympic medals, one from the Torino, Italy Games in 2006 and a one from the Sochi, Russia Games in 2014. On the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Cup circuit, Joines demonstrated her dominance over many seasons collecting the Overall World Cup Title Crystal Globe in 2008, the Overall World Cup Super G Champion Crystal Globe in 2009 and collecting medals at the World Championships in 2009 and 2013. Read more
