Canadian Luge Association —Canadian Luge Team to Host Media SkyLine Luge Sliding Challenge, September 28—

CALGARY—A SkyLine Luge challenge, lunch and loads of fun will be on the menu as Canada’s top luge athletes host media, along with their sport and corporate  partners, for a day of sliding on September 28. The event will kick off at 11 a.m. in the ’88 Lounge, located in the main daylodge, at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park.

Luge Canada will leverage the sliding challenge to officially launch the final two-year countdown on the track to 2018, while introducing the key athletes in its program, Who will be competing to earn spots to represent Canada on the World Cup.

Following an official introduction of the team, athletes will be paired up with members of the media to determine the top media outlet in the city on a SkyLine wheel luge sled.

Athletes and media will blast down the exhilarating 1.8- kilometre Skyline Luge track at Canada Olympic Park.

Lunch and prizes will be awarded in the lounge immediately following the sliding challenge.
