About the 2015 FINA/NVC Diving World Series

The FINA/NVC Diving World Series is the premiere annual multi-city diving competition in the world. In 2015, there are six World Series events taking place in Beijing (CHN), Dubai (UAE), London (GBR), Kazan (RUS), Windsor (CAN) and Merida (MEX). The competitive program mirrors that of the Olympic Games. However, for the first time ever this year, mixed synchro event will be held on 3-metre springboard and 10-metre platform. The eight other Olympic events to be staged are women’s and men’s 3-metre springboard, 10-metre platform, 3-metre springboard synchro and 10-metre platform synchro.

Divers are invited to participate at the 2015 World Series based on their results from the 2014 FINA World Cup in Shanghai, China. The top-8 ranked divers in each individual event and the top-6 teams in each synchronized event earn qualification. As well, host countries are eligible to include divers who have meet the international standards on their team. In 2014, Canada had won 16 medals on the circuit; 2 gold, 4 silver and 10 bronze.
