Ultimate Canada – The Canadian 4-on-4 Ultimate Championships plays out this weekend at the Louis Riel Dome in Ottawa, ON.

The best 24 teams from across the country have qualified for the tournament and will compete in an action-packed event with hopes of becoming the 2017 C4UC champions. The returning titleholders, Trillium Carnage, are not in the field this season, ensuring a new victor will be crowned.

Four-on-four Ultimate is a fast pace variation of the traditional 7-on-7 format. Typically played indoors, 4-on-4 Ultimate is packed with high action plays and lots of excitement. C4UC will take place over two days with pool play on Saturday and bracket play on Sunday.

On recommendation from the Ultimate Canada Board of Directors, the 2017 C4UC will be the first championship to enact the new gender ratio of 2:2. This change, decided upon in 2015 and initiated this season, is primarily motivated by gender equity concerns and roster managing issues experienced by captains.
