Gymnastics Canada – RICHMOND, BC (Feb. 10, 2016) – Media are invited to attend the Elite Canada 2016 rhythmic gymnastics competition running from Thursday, February 11 to Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond, BC.

Hosted by the British Columbia Rhythmic Sportive Gymnastics Federation, Elite Canada brings together the top athletes from across Canada from the novice, junior, and senior categories in rhythmic gymnastics. Elite Canada is an annual event held to determine the top junior and senior rhythmic gymnasts in Canada who will go on to compete at the Canadian Championships in Winnipeg, MB in May. It also helps select the athletes that will represent Canada at major international competitions.

WHAT: 2016 Elite Canada Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition

WHO:  

  • Vancouver- based national team members Kaylie Choi, Cindy Huh, and Megan Hamilton will compete in the senior category; Isabel Todorova, and Erika Bernard will compete in the junior category.
  • 121 of Canada’s top rhythmic gymnasts, 31 coaches, and 16 judges.

WHEN:

Thursday, February 11th to Sunday, February 14th.
