Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame – Today, April 19, Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame will announce the Class of 2017, including six Athletes, one Team and two sport “Builders” emceed by Catriona Le May Doan, Honoured Member of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame and 2-time Olympic Gold medallist in Speed Skating. Induction into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame is the highest sporting honour in Canada. Sport serves to unite the country, and in celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday, Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame aims to recognize outstanding role models for the next generation. The individuals and team selected to receive this honour inspire Canadians on a local, provincial and national level that transcends sport and competition.

The Class of 2017 will be officially inducted on November 9, 2017 during the Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame 2017 Induction Celebrations at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
