Canada Soccer, – Canada’s Men’s National Youth Program has confirmed an international trip and friendly match against European opponents England. The trip will feature a Canadian U-20 squad of players born 1996 or later. 

The Canadian side will face England on Easter Sunday 27 March in Doncaster, ENG. The 2016 match will kick off at 16.00 local at Keepmoat Stadium, with tickets available via http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/tickets/HowToBuy.aspx.

“This is a good opportunity for our players who are trying to develop with their professional clubs and crack our Men’s National Team roster,” said Rob Gale, Canada Soccer Men’s National U-20 Team Coach. “These top-level matches are great for player development.”

Through the inclusion of 1996-born players in the squad, Canada’s Men’s National Youth Program continues to provide accumulating experience on the pathway to Canada’s Men’s National Team. Players born 1997 or later, meanwhile, are equally eligible for the current cycle of CONCACAF / FIFA competition on the road to the FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017.

Canada’s 20-player roster will be confirmed in the coming weeks before the 21 March departure for London.
