Racquetball Canada – San Luis Potosi, MEX, November 19, 2016 – Canada will return home from the World Junior Racquetball Championships with medals in three events.  
 
Alexis Iwaasa of Lethbridge, AB is a double medalist in 16 & U events. She won bronze in her Girl’s Singles event and also teamed up with Marjolaine Parent of St-Jacques De Montcalm, QC to finish with bronze in the Girl’s Doubles event. 
 
Canada’s 14 & U Boy’s Doubles team of Ian Frattinger of Martensville, SK and Sean Sauvé of L’Assomption, QC also won bronze.  
 
These are the first World Championship podium results for all four athletes in the World Cup events at the international level.   
 
In Team Standings, the Girl’s team placed sixth, the Boy’s Team also placed sixth and Canada finished sixth in the overall team standings.  
 
The World Junior Championships took place in San Luis Potosi, MEX from November 12 to 18.  
 
Ten athletes represent Canada from five provinces including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Québec. Coaches Michel Gagnon and Rino Langelier are from Montréal, QC and Coach Corey Osborne is from Penetanguishene, ON.  The team was selected based on results at the Canadian Junior Championships held this past April.
