Canada Soccer, the Alberta Soccer Association and Fort McMurray Youth Soccer Association join forces to bring soccer back to Fort McMurray
Canada Soccer – Media are invited to join Canada Soccer, the Alberta Soccer Association, the Fort McMurray Youth Soccer Association, and Fort McMurray Tourism for a special announcement in support of ensuring access to soccer in the community.
Media are welcome to join us for a ceremonial coin toss at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Soccer National Championship with Olympic Bronze Medalist and Canada’s Women’s National Team goalkeeper as well as Alberta resident, Stephanie Labbé, signifying Fort McMurray’s soccer community is prospering. A media conference will follow which will feature a special donation to the Fort McMurray Youth Soccer Association and a video and photo opportunity. Additional video and photo opportunities are available at a local soccer clinic that will feature the Father Mercredi and PEAK soccer academies.
