Canada Soccer – Canada Soccer’s 2014-18 Strategic Plan – Leading a Soccer Nation – identifies the investment in technical leadership by supporting our players, coaches and officials at all levels of the sport as a key part of the road map to make Canada a Leading Soccer Nation.

One of the identified areas of focus for coach development is to increase the enrolment, national representation, diversity and number of successful graduates of Canada Soccer’s National A and B licensing programs.

As part of this mandate, Canada Soccer is pleased to offer the opportunity for eligible candidates to enroll in the 2016 B License Coaching Program with the announcement of four sets of course dates in four locations from coast to coast for the national courses.

The dates are: 16-22 May in Langley, BC; 25-31 July in Halifax, NS; 15-21 August in Vaughan, ON; and 12-18 September also in Vaughan; ON. Interested candidates are encouraged to register via the “Programs” section on CanadaSoccer.com.

“We are pleased to offer the Canada Soccer B License national course across the country as we strive to meet the increased demand for certification in the licensing level,” said Ray Clark, Canada Soccer’s Director of Coaching. “As standards-based high performance leagues expand, there is a greater need for our coaches to gain the training and certification.”

As outlined within the Long Term Player Development pathway, the Canada Soccer B License program is designed to provide and train coaches with the tools to prepare talented young players both technically and tactically.

“We look forward to the opportunity to work with a new intake of coaches in 2016,” said Clark. “The enthusiasm and dedication of these men and women is inspiring. Each coach plays an important role in the development of soccer in Canada and our collective efforts to build a leading soccer nation.”
