Canada Games Council Board Call for Nominations

Canada Games Council – The Canada Games Council is currently seeking interested individuals to serve on their volunteer Board of Directors for a four year term, commencing September 2018.

CGC’s mandate is to deliver the Canada Games in a way that develops athletes, sport, and leave lasting legacies in communities. CGC works to deliver value to its key stakeholders, including governments, Host Societies, national and provincial sport organizations, Canadian youth and Canadians at large.

Created by governments through the Clear Lake Agreement, the Canada Games Council (CGC), is a national, private, non-profit organization that serves as the governing body for the Canada Games. As the Games move from one host community to the next, CGC provides the continuity, leadership and support to Host Societies. CGC ensures effective long-term partnerships with national sport organizations, governments and the corporate sector; it allocates resources in support of a compelling vision and set of values.

Led by a committed group of volunteer Directors, the CGC benefits from incredible expertise and dedication of thousands of volunteers working across Canada to prepare teams and the Canada Games.

The CGC is seeking nominations to fill one (1) volunteer board position with an energetic and passionate individual who is able to dedicate their time and expertise to help grow the Canada Games property, the Canada Games Movement and our Canadian sport system.

Interested applicants are required to submit/complete the online CGC Candidate Nomination Form.
