Ringette Canada – Ottawa, Ontario – February 1, 2017 – After rising to the top of the National Ringette League (NRL) Elite Eight rankings last month, Atlantic Attack has been bumped down to third and the Cambridge Turbos have regained the top spot in the league.

The Cambridge Turbos (1) won six of their last seven games, dropping one to Le Royal de Bourassa 11-9. Richmond Hill Lightning (2) split their last two games with Atlantic Attack (3) who picked up five wins and lost three this past month. Ottawa Ice (4) maintain their fourth-place ranking, with four wins and an 8-7 shootout loss to Cambridge.

Calgary RATH (5) move up one spot to fifth winning three of their last four games. Waterloo Wildfire (6) dropped one spot to sixth, winning two games and losing three over the last month. Edmonton WAM! (7) remain in seventh place after playing only one game this past month, which was a 4-3 loss to Calgary. Gloucester Devils (8) maintain their eighth place ranking from last month after posting three wins and a pair of losses.

Cambridge Turbos currently hold the NRL Championship title after downing the Gloucester Devils 5-3 at the 2016 NRL Championship tournament final held in April 2016 in London, Ontario. This year’s NRL Championship tournament will be held in Leduc, Alberta from March 27 to April 1, 2017.
