Nova Scotia Golf Association – Ben Callaghan, Abercrombie, won the 12-14 boys division at the CN Future Links National Skills competition at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario. From thousands of participants, 25 were chosen to compete in 6 divisions.
 
Ben qualified at Eagle’s Chance Par 3 Course & Driving Range. Callaghan finished 6th in the country during qualifying on June 13th.  Eagle’s Chance is facilitates CN Future Links programs through their instructor, Ben Affleck. 
 
The participants competed in putting, chipping and driving skills challenges. Points were then allocated based on accuracy, distance and precision. Callaghan said he was very excited to be competing. For winning, Callaghan received a package from Titleist FootJoy.
 
Ben and the rest of the field were invited to play the back nine at Glen Abbey following competition. Simon Mullen, Truro, was also one of the 25 competitors at Glen Abbey. The RBC Canadian Open is being held at Glen Abbey on Monday, July 18th.
