British Columbia Wheelchair Basketball Society – February 23, 2018 (Kamloops, BC) Its been a great week in Kamloops at the 2018 BC Winter Games.  For wheelchair basketball,  teams representing Zones 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8 travelled from across the province to be part of the 40th Anniversary BC Games in Kamloops, British Columbia. 

On Sunday, February 23, 2018 the Medal rounds were contested.  After finishing in fouth place in the round-robin, Zone 8 took on Zone 3 in the Bronze Medal Game – with the Bronze medal going to Zone 8 (32-31). In the Gold Medal Game, Zone 6, who finished in 1st place in the round-robin,  took on the host team Zone 2. Zone 6 was triumphant winning Gold with a score 59-32.

We would like to thank the 100’s of volunteers, fans, coaches and athletes who have made this a great event for the athletes competing in all the BC Winter games sports.  This event is a stepping stone in an athletes’ development and we are proud to be part of the movement.
