Lawrie Johns, Executive Director commented, “I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Diana for the past 7 years (5 as President) and her leadership, professional experience and commitment to our sport are unmatched.  It is a huge positive that she will remain in a significant position moving forward.  Having worked closely with Stu, particularly over the past 3 years, I know his vision for growing the game will keep us on the positive path we have followed and will continue to lead us to be the best possible association for members, coaches and particularly athletes and their parents.”

Johns continued “Our officers of Stu (Pres.), Diana (Dir. Of Finance), Shawn Dheensaw (VP) and Ken Olynyk (VP) are committed to aligning Basketball BC with the ever changing environment and continuing to work with all groups to make basketball the number one choice of young participants.   Cheryl, Kevin and both of our John B’s combined with the fresh approach of Kelsey will be crucial in that effort.”

“With a new committee structure that will include Board and non-Board members we are well positioned to continue to offer and support programs that speak to growing the game, developing coaches and players at all levels and supporting our officials,” concluded Johns
