Baseball Manitoba – This coming weekend, July 7-9, Baseball Manitoba will be holding the Rural “A” provincial Championships.  These championships will be representing rural players aged 10-15.

The following weekend (July 14-16) the provincial “AA” championships will be held featuring the best rural and city club teams for players 10 to 18.

The following are the age groups, dates and locations for the championships:

July 7-9

• 11U “A”                                  Reston
• 13U “A”                                  Swan River
• 15U “A”                                  Ile des Chenes

July 14-17

• 11U “AA”                                St. James Optimist Park
• 13U “AA”                                Altona
• 15U “AA”                                La Broquerie
• 18U “AA”                                Brandon

An attached list shows the contact people for each site, along with a list of all teams competing in this year’s championships. 

The winners of the Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget “AA” championships will attend the Western Canada “AA” tournament to be held in Kamloops, BC, August 18-20. 

Following these championships, the provincial “AAA” events will take place. July 21-23 will have the 18U “AAA” championships in Charleswood (Winnipeg).  Then from August 4-6 the provincial 13U and 15U “AAA” championships will be held.  The 13U “AAA” championship will take place at Optimist Park in St. James, and the 15 “AAA” Championships will be in Morden.
