Baseball Nova Scotia – Darthmouth – On Saturday, October 27th, Baseball Nova Scotia honoured it’s award winners during the annual BNS Awards Banquet. The event took place at the Best Western Hotel in Dartmouth, with Jayson Baxter from CTV as the master of ceremonies. Overall, 15 awards were handed out to recipients from Clark’s Harbour to New Waterford. For the full list of winners please see below:

Major Male Athlete of the Year – Evan O’Toole (Bridgewater)

Co-Major Female Athlete of the Year – Katie Hagen (Dartmouth)

Minor Male Athlete of the Year – Adam Crocker (Hantsport)

Minor Female Athlete of the Year – Molly White (Fall River)

Coach of the Year – Andrew Holland (Clark’s Harbour)

Grassroots Coach of the Year – Shawn Samson (Isle Madame)

Volunteer of the Year – Randy Crouse (Antigonish)

Association of the Year – New Waterford Minor Baseball

Co-Team of the Year – Nova Scotia 16U Girls (National Silver medalists)

Co-Team of the Year – Nova Scotia 17U Boys (National Bronze medalists)

Junior Umpire of the Year – Alex Marriott (Halifax)

Senior Umpire of the Year – Steve Clark (Dartmouth)

Ken Evans Award- Alex Lawrie (Dartmouth)

News Maker of the Year- Paige McNally (Hammonds Plains)
