Ringette Canada – Winnipeg, Manitoba – April 13, 2018 – Atlantic Attack beat Manitoba Intact 10-7 to finish round-robin play in first place in the National Ringette League (NRL) division at the 2018 Save-On-Foods Canadian Ringette Championships today. This earned the Attack a bye to the gold-medal final tomorrow, where they will meet Edmonton WAM! who beat the Cambridge Turbos 4-1 in the bronze-medal final.

In the U16 division, Calgary Surge beat Team Québec (Rive Sud) in the quarterfinals to end the week undefeated and earn a spot in the U16 gold medal final tomorrow. The Surge will face the Manitoba Angels, after the Angels beat Zone 2 (AB) 7-6 in the quarterfinals and downed the Nepean Ravens 4-3 in the semis today. The Ravens will face the Regina Stingers in the bronze medal final tomorrow.

In the U19 division, the Guelph Predators suffered their first loss of the week when they were downed 7-4 by Waterloo Wildfire in the quarterfinals. In semi-final action, the Manitoba Angels then downed Waterloo Wildfire 6-2 to snag a spot in the gold medal final tomorrow. The Angels will meet Team Quebec (Laurentides), who downed the Eastman Flames (MB) 4-3 in quarterfinal action. Waterloo Wildfire and the Eastman Flames will play for bronze tomorrow morning.

Games have been taking place at the Seven Oaks Arena and BellMTS IcePlex. Finals in all three divisions take place on Saturday, April 14 (U16 at 11:30 CDT, U19 at 13:30 CDT and NRL at 15:30 CDT). All-stars and the NRL Annual Awards will be announced at the closing ceremony on Saturday night.
