Archery Canada – Allan Wills, President of Archery Canada, is pleased to announce that Mary MacDonald has been hired as its new Executive Director, effective April 3rd 2017. Ms. MacDonald is currently on contract with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) as a Consultant with the COC’s National Sport Federation Enhancement Initiative. Previously, Ms. MacDonald was a long-time staff member with Canadian Interuniversity Sport, where she was the Manager of Sport and International Programs.

 

“We are very pleased to have hired someone of the calibre of Mary MacDonald, as our new Executive Director”, said Allan Wills. “Mary brings a great deal of expertise, knowledge and experience to the position. We are confident that under Mary’s leadership, Archery Canada and archery in Canada will continue to grow and develop from the club level through the high performance level.

 

“I am very excited to take on this leadership role with Archery Canada and am eager to begin working with the entire Canadian archery community, said Ms. MacDonald.  “I look forward to working with the Board of Directors, the provincial/territorial members and the registrants of Archery Canada as we continue to develop the sport in this country and support excellence at the high performance level.”

 

Ms. MacDonald succeeds Scott Ogilvie, who is retiring as Executive Director on March 31st. “Archery Canada is deeply indebted to Scott Ogilvie for his eight  years of outstanding work and sound leadership”, said Allan Wills.  “We have grown a great deal under his watch and wish him the very best in his retirement.”
