Ottawa Sport Council  – The Speakers and Agenda have been finalized for Engage. Inspire. Sustain. Creating your Volunteer Movement – the third annual Ottawa Sport Summit on November 26, 2016 at the Horticulture Building, Lansdowne Park, 1525 Princess Patricia Way, Ottawa.

Hosted by the Ottawa Sport Council, the Ottawa Sport Summit is an annual event created to provide community sporting organizations across Ottawa with an opportunity to learn, connect and discuss relevant issues.

Summit speakers will include:

  • Hon Yasir Naqvi, MPP (Ottawa Centre), Attorney General
  • Michael Crockatt, President and CEO, Ottawa Tourism
  • Anna Wood and Jenny Grenville- Volunteer Services- Bluesfest and Cityfolk Festival
  • Sue Holloway- Olympian, Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame- Class of 2016, Event Co-ordinator- Gold Medal Plates Ottawa
  • Lindsay Hugenholtz-Deputy CEO 2011 Canada Winter Games, Ottawa Bid Manager, 2021 Canada Summer Games
  • John Haime- President, New Edge Performance 

Main tent topics will highlight How to Create a Volunteer Movement- Celebrating a Local Success Story, What is happening in Sport in Ottawa in 2017; and How to Inspire and Sustain your Volunteer Movement.

Networking opportunities will include roundtable discussions and a sport themed trivia contest where the successful team will win the opportunity to see the 2017 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships at TD Place, Ottawa.  

The Silent Auction will offer great prizes including Club Bell Ottawa Senators Hockey Tickets, gift certificates for many local restaurants, fitness passes and much more.
