Aboriginal Sport Circle to launch Communities: Active for life Resource on National Aboriginal Day 2017
Aboriginal Sport Circle – OTTAWA, ONTARIO — (June 16, 2017) – Aboriginal Sport Circle (ASC) will contribute to the celebrations and events happening across Canada on June 21, National Aboriginal Day, by unveiling a new resource for communities.
The nearly 40-page document, titled Aboriginal Communities: Active for Life, will offer a practical tool in helping individuals and communities create quality experiences in sport and activity.
Chief Wilton Littlechild, Commissioner of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, opens the preface of the document to be launched on June 21 with the following remark: “This resource will help our children and youth across the country enjoy long, healthy, happy, and good lives”.
Representatives from ASC will be available for interviews throughout the day on June 21.

Time: 3:30-5:00 PM (PDT) with media event from 3:30-4pm, followed by a Physical Literacy “Playdate”
