The 2020 CARHA Hockey World Cup is one year away

Canadian Adult Recreational Hockey Association (CARHA) - The “Olympics of Recreational Hockey” Head to Richmond, British Columbia on March 29th, 2020!
OTTAWA, ONTARIO – March 29th, 2019 – The hockey world will be united in Richmond, British Columbia exactly one year from today, as the CARHA Hockey World Cup will witness over 140 teams from 15 countries come together to compete for glory in 2020.
The tournament is set to take place from March 29th to April 5th next year, meaning that the 365-day countdown is officially underway.
More than 2,500 participants will compete at the Richmond Olympic Oval, the Richmond Ice Centre, and Minoru Arenas over the course of the week, while staying at various hotels in the Richmond area. Spare time will be spent enjoying the city’s finest bars, restaurants, and sightseeing opportunities, resulting in an estimated economic impact of $12-15 million.
The CARHA Hockey World Cup includes a Parade of Athletes as the attendees march into the Opening Ceremonies after travelling from around the world, an Athletes’ Village throughout the tournament at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel (Host Hotel) and lastly, the Closing Ceremonies to conclude the event.
During the course of the weeklong event, the community can look forward to free admission to over 240 games!
