Gymnastics Canada – QUEBEC CITY, QC (Jan 23, 2018) – Media are invited to attend the 2018 Elite Canada in Artistic Gymnastics competition running from Thursday, February 1 to Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Telus Stadium at Laval University in Quebec City, QC.
Hosted by Gymnastique Quebec and local club Québec Performance, Elite Canada brings together the top athletes from across Canada from the novice, junior, and senior categories in women’s artistic gymnastics, and the junior and senior categories in men’s artistic gymnastics. Throughout the weekend there will be a total of 141 medals awarded, and an Elite Canada titleholder named in each category.
The 2018 Athlete and Coaches of the Year for artistic gymnastics will also be announced and celebrated at the competition. The men’s awards will be presented on Saturday at 19:00 ET, while the women’s awards will be presented at 13:30 ET on Sunday.
The athletes and coaches that will represent Canada at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, AUS, and the Pacific Rim Championships in Medellin, COL will all be finalized from this competition.
The final team for the Commonwealth Games will be publically announced on February 21st.
