Softball Canada – An exciting opportunity exists to join Softball Canada in the role of 2017 Pool Coach in the Women’s National Team Program. The Pool Coaches will work closely with the Junior and Senior Head Coaches in the pursuit of podium results at Major International Competitions with the respective programs, while contributing to the physical, psychological and social development of each athlete. Opportunities include participation with the Junior and Elite Team programs (subject to funding applications) in selection camps and major events. Primary competition takes place from late May through August, with a possible off-season camp, and the program can allow for individual availability.

To be considered for the position, candidates should possess:

  • One or more of the following:
    • Minimum of Level 3 certification, or Competition–Development certification under the new National Coaching Certification Program
    • Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience at NCAA Division I or II levels
    • 5 years of experience as a national team player
  • Advanced technical knowledge in the areas of Hitting, Pitching, Infield and/or Outfield play;
  • Proficiency in the use of video analysis software applications would be an asset;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • The ability to work effectively in a “team oriented environment”;
  • Available to travel for extended periods of time domestically and abroad;
