Winnipeg, Manitoba was the largest city to ever host the Canada Games. From July 28 – August 13, 2017, we welcomed over 4,000 athletes and coaches and more than 20,000 visitors.

The 50th anniversary of the Canada Games was one for the record books, with several attendance and medal records shattered during The Hottest Summer in Half a Century.

The legacies left behind in new and enhanced sport facilities, sport equipment, volunteer and leadership development, and this final financial legacy will benefit the broader community for years to come.
