Alpine Canada – Calgary, Alta. (March 17, 2016) – The Canada Ski Cross team has descended upon Smithers, B.C. for the 2016 Sport Chek Canadian Championships, taking place on Saturday, March 19, 2016. Members of the national team and next gen team will compete for the coveted podium spots. 

The athletes head into the Canadian Championships coming off a hugely successful World Cup season and have taken that momentum into the Austrian and German National Championships, where Canadians stood on top of the podium at both races. 

The Smithers, B.C. community has been instrumental in putting on a great event for the Canadian Championships. The community involvement, local business support and ROC (race organizing committee) have demonstrated the collaboration required put on a successful event of this calibre. Alpine Canada Alpin and the Canada Ski Cross team would like to send a huge thank you to the Smithers ROC, Hudson Bay Mountain and the community of Smithers for their hard work and dedication to this event.
