Golf Manitoba – The sport of Golf is very fortunate to be part of the PowerSmart Manitoba Summer Games. Similar to the Olympics, these Games take place every four years with the next one taking place in 2016.
 
Golf Manitoba would like to make you aware of the PowerSmart Manitoba Summer Games Regional Training Squad program for the 2016 golf season. The program offered by Golf Manitoba will be similar to 2012, which saw many of the participating players move on to become some of the top junior golfers in the province.

Participants of the program are required to be:

Boys

  • Minimum of 10 years old on August 7, 2016 
  • Maximum of 15 years old on August 10, 2016 

Girls

  • Minimum of 10 years old on August 7, 2016 
  • Maximum of 17 years old on August 10, 2016 

 
The eight different regions of the province will have access to coaching by a Golf Professional commencing in the spring of 2016. Each Training Squad Member will receive a minimum of 20 hours of training in preparation for a 36 hole qualifier (date and location TBD) to represent their region at the 2016 PowerSmart Manitoba Summer Games in Steinbach, August 7th-10th.
