Softball Canada – (Ottawa, ON) Softball Canada is pleased to announce the list of twenty-two (22) athletes who have been invited to participate in a Men’s National Team Development Camp this weekend (June 2-5) in Kitchener, Ontario. The athletes are all members of the Men’s National Team Athlete Pool.
 
The Development Camp will include physical and positional testing at Conestoga College in Kitchener, and a pair of intersquad games on Friday (7:00pm) and Saturday (5:00pm) in Innerkip, ON. Intersquad games are open to the public at no charge. It will give the Men’s National Team coaching staff an opportunity to see some members of the athlete pool who did not compete with the team in 2015.
 
Team Canada captured gold at the WBSC Men’s World Softball Championship in Saskatoon and the Pan American Games in Toronto last summer. No tournaments are planned for the team in 2016, but a Selection Camp will take place next year to determine the roster for the 2017 WBSC Men’s World Softball Championship in Whitehorse, Yukon.
